Bowling Rules
Guests are responsible for reporting all slips, trips, falls, or other injuries to our center personnel immediately.
Lane Timing Policy: To ensure all our guests receive their full scheduled playing time, lanes are activated with a 5-minute courtesy window upon check-in. This gives you 5 minutes to put on your shoes, pick out a bowling ball, and get situated at your lane before your timer officially starts.
Stay Behind the Foul Line: This is a critical safety rule. The lanes are treated with oil to help the ball glide, making the area beyond the foul line extremely slippery. Crossing it can lead to falls and serious injuries.
Wear Bowling Shoes: Bowling shoes are designed with special soles that provide the right amount of slide on the approach. Bowling shoes are required to bowl. No exceptions.
Keep Bowling Shoes Clean and Dry: Moisture, dirt, or sticky substances on the soles of your bowling shoes can affect your slide and balance, leading to falls. Check your shoes before bowling, especially after returning from restrooms or other areas.
No Food or Beverages on the Approach: Spills can create slippery or sticky spots, posing a significant fall hazard. Keep all food and drinks in the designated seating areas.
Keep Hands Out of the Ball Return: The ball return mechanism has moving parts that can cause serious injury if hands or fingers get caught. Wait until the ball has completely stopped in the return tray before retrieving it. Supervise children closely around this area.
Report Hazards and Problems: Immediately inform center personnel of any mechanical issues, stuck balls or pins, spills, or any other potential hazards you observe. Do not attempt to fix equipment or retrieve stuck balls and/or pins yourself.
Watch for Tripping Hazards: Be mindful of steps up to the approach, seating areas, and concourse. Keep personal belongings like bags and coats out of walkways.
Use the Correct Ball: Choose a bowling ball that fits your hand comfortably and isn't too heavy. If you're unsure, ask a staff member for assistance. Never try to bowl with a ball that feels awkward or difficult to handle.
Lightweight Balls for Children: Ensure young children use the appropriately sized and weighted bowling balls designed for them. Misusing heavier balls can cause injury.
Obey Posted Signs and Warnings: Pay attention to and follow all posted safety rules and instructions within the bowling center.
One Person on the Approach: Only one bowler should be on the approach area at a time to prevent collisions and distractions.
No Running or Horseplay: Bowling centers are not playgrounds. Running and other forms of horseplay can lead to accidents and injuries.
Be Aware of Your Physical Limitations: Bowling is a physical activity. Be mindful of your own fitness level and avoid overexerting yourself.
