Bowling Mechanic

OVERVIEW

Incredibowl Entertainment is seeking a part-time Bowling Mechanic for our 40-lane family entertainment center in Winter Haven, FL.

Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that the machines run smoothly through preventative maintenance and your ability to diagnose and fix mechanical issues. Bowling Mechanics are also responsible for assisting the Facility Manager with the physical assets of the center to maintain their protection, optimal performance, and longevity. These assets include, but are not limited to, bowling equipment, food and beverage equipment, overall building infrastructure (such as the roof), and HVAC systems.

Prior mechanical experience is essential to success in this role.

MACHINE MAINTENANCE

  • Maintain the center’s equipment under the direction of the Facility Manager.
  • Assist with maintaining pinspotters/setters, automatic scoring equipment, lanes, and all other bowling center equipment at the highest level of operating proficiency.

BUILDING MAINTENANCE

  • Assist with general facility maintenance under the direction of the Facility Manager, General Manager, or Assistant Manager.
  • Respond to requests for assistance with non-bowling machinery that requires someone with mechanical inclination to diagnose and/or repair (given that you are on duty and available to help).

ENSURE SAFETY

  • Follow established Risk Management and Safety Procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Do not allow non-trained personnel on or around safety-sensitive equipment.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • At least 2 years of related experience in Automotive, Electric or HVAC is required.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from our location in Winter Haven, FL.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Must be fluent in English.

PREFERRED SKILLS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Prior pinsetter experience and/or knowledge is strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of complex electrical systems.
  • Working knowledge of carpentry/plumbing/drywall repair and painting.
  • Must be able to lift/push/pull over 50 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will work in a bowling center environment where high levels of noise can be expected.  The employee must be comfortable working in areas that are enclosed or elevated/high reaching. All precautionary measures are taken to ensure safety; however, due to the nature of this position, there is risk of bodily injury from mechanical parts, electricity, etc.
